After a night in Akureyri, we head to the Goðafoss site, a large waterfall located on the Skjálfandafljót river.

The name Goðafoss means "the waterfall of the Gods". Indeed, legend has it that around the year 1000, representations of the gods of the time were thrown here following the adoption of the new monotheistic Christian religion...
