After the morning visit to the Nerja cave, we arrive in Málaga just in time for lunch! After taking possession of our apartment, we leave directly in search of a good typical restaurant and set our sights on the Mesón Astur restaurant!
And my choice of dish falls on a kind of local cassoulet: fabada asturiana! Ha... but Asturias is a bit the region opposite to us... Too bad!
On Constitution Square, decorations and the Christmas tree are already ready for the festivities in two months.
Málaga Cathedral
After a good meal, nothing like good quiet digestion in a cathedral... Here we are in front of the Incarnation of Málaga.
Left photo, the only tower out of the two planned. Right photo, the place where the second tower should be... The latter was never finished. That is why the cathedral was nicknamed "La Manquita", the one-armed...
The first stones were laid in 1528, and the last in 1782. The stones intended for the second tower were used for other works...
A canvas of several meters by Valencian painter Enrique Simonet Lombardo: The Beheading of Saint Paul (1887).
Alcazaba
Let's move now a few steps from the cathedral to the Alcazaba, former fortress palace from the 11th century.
We continue the visit joining Gibralfaro Castle. On the way, the Sun winks at me adding its little photogenic touch to the panorama.
There is not only the sun to photograph, there is also this glass cube... Tomorrow, we will be there, it is the extension of the Centre Pompidou in Paris inaugurated in 2015!
Let's get back to the subject... The Sun is not going to stay suspended like that forever just for me to take photos...

Ha, that's it, it's set. We finally arrive at Gibralfaro Castle. But now, I have to take pictures of the city lights...

While one was setting, the other was rising... The moon is full, another opportunity to take some photos...
