Grand Canyon

ARIZONA

Here, you will see high and far!!!

Sorry for my blurry photos, but this is where my (ex-)camera lives its last moments... In the city of Page, I will develop my last film in one hour and will note with horror that the photos are overexposed and blurry!!!

Neither one nor two, I decide to change my camera without qualms for its successor in a store in Flagstaff (2 hours to get there anyway but it was the only store that sold them!!!)

It's up to you to see if you want to measure yourself against the cliffs of Mather Point...
Left photo, two tourists at the end of a small rock???
Right photo, these same two tourists but placed back in their true context...

The site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1979.

California condors are easily visible.

On the other hand, you have to go off the hiking trails a bit to see this giant agave in bloom (agave utahensis kaibabensis more precisely...)
Right photo, detail of the agave fruits.

The Watchtower

The Watchtower: observation tower built in 1932. It is the reproduction of Navajo towers which were used for grain storage. Here, you can also see Navajo drawings.
