Hue is the former imperial capital of Vietnam. It was declared a UNESCO Historical Heritage site in 1993.
We will therefore start by visiting the Imperial City.

This palace was built under the reign of Gia Long on the image of the Forbidden City of Beijing in China.
The Thien Mu Pagoda
The Thien Mu Pagoda was built in 1601.
It is composed of seven levels to represent the 7 reincarnations of Buddha.
The blue Austin of the sadly famous monk Tich Quang Duc who self-immolated by fire in Saigon on June 11, 1963.
He was protesting against President Ngo Dinh Diem who was persecuting Buddhist monks.
The temple is still active, here young monks whose presence of tourists does not bother them in the least... The more the monk progresses, the more he will have a shaved head.
Left photo: the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang (1791-1841. Second emperor of the Nguyen dynasty).
