We leave Ostional and our room to return to the central northern lands in the Monteverde region, 170 kilometers from here.

But to leave Ostional, you have to cross a few rivers, some higher than others. It's not uncommon for it to be impossible to pass... Hence the advantage of an all-terrain vehicle to increase your chances of success...

Short stop in Nicoya, the big town in the area.

An opportunity to take some photos of the car after crossing the rivers. Everything was fine until it was time to start the car... And then, bang, it broke down! But no panic, just enough time to find a garage nearby, change the battery, and we were back on our way!

And here we are in Monteverde (green mountain), which lives up to its name!

We drop off our luggage in Santa Elena. Then a short stroll through the chilly streets of the town; we are, after all, at 1300 meters altitude.

Tuesday12November

After rafting a week ago, we put our helmets back on to climb the trees at the "100% Aventura" adventure park with a 1500-meter zip line!!! The wind will whistle between our ears!  

Back to Santa Elena to recover from our emotions around the table with the local hamburger.

For enthusiasts, the jar of hot sauce...

And the natural strawberry drink to go with it all!  

Afternoon excursion and walk in the Monteverde Natural Reserve in the heart of the cloud forests, so called because due to the altitude, a mist permanently envelops all the fauna and flora present here.
