Chile 2016

The Itinerary

Chile, here we come! 7 years after Argentina, we had to finish exploring the South American continent... So we set off as a duo to travel the western part of the Andes for 4 weeks.

In this month of November, we will experience all climates... Snow, rain, storms, drought... Between cold and heatwave our heart wavered, but nothing hindered our progress! From the North of the country to the Strait of Magellan in the far south, from sea level to 4600 meters of altitude in the Atacama altiplano, the great sites of the country offered us their most beautiful landscapes! And it was with a small hop (4000 km....) that we were able to enjoy the little treasure jealously guarded by the Chileans: Easter Island and its mysterious Moai guardians...

We divided our 4 weeks into 5 major stages that we reached by plane or bus:

  • - Santiago and Valparaiso: 3 days
  • - The regions of the Villarica and Osorno volcanoes: 6 days
  • - Torres del Paine Park and the Strait of Magellan: 4 days
  • - Easter Island: 3 days
  • - The Atacama Desert: 7 days

I have put the entire itinerary in Google Earth which you can download by clicking on this icon.
